About cliix

Malcolm Hyland is a lifelong transport enthusiast, started by his father who worked for AEC. He works in the bus industry.

He has been photographing transport for more than 30 years building up a large countrywide collection of prints.

The move into the digital photography age provided the inspiration for the cliix concept. No longer the need to amass prints, digital images live in the digital world, namely on screen. The albums published are ideal for slide shows but for those who wish the pictures may be printed.

Vic’s clicks from cliix

Vic Zealey was more than the typical bus enthusiast. He lived and worked near High Wycombe, Bucks, was a member of the London Omnibus Transport Society and the Amersham & District Motorbus Society and maintained a constant interest in the vehicles and operations local to home and in and around London. Unfortunately he died in 2003 but he left a legacy of thousands of negatives of bus pictures he had taken over many years. When I first met him I was working at High Wycombe bus station. He introduced himself as Vic - they call me Vic the click. Hence my name for his work.

Terry Blois, well known to many bus enthusiasts for his photograph sales and scale bus drawings, has been involved in the scanning of the negatives. His catalogue of drawings can be found on this site.

Vic hardly ever printed a shot, simply storing his negatives. We have access to a wealth of unpublished photographs available to create interesting albums. They are all black & white and are fine for viewing on computer screens. Some are not of the best quality but are included for the interest of the subject. Our tests have produced excellent prints.
